March 3rd was Mullied Wine Day

Here is an easy mulled wine recipe brought to us by unraveling wine.


- 1 bottle Red wine preferably Merlot, Zinfandel, Grenache, or any fruity red wine.

- 1 large Orange Half cut in quarters, half cut in slices for garnish

- 1/2 cup Brandy

- 5 whole Cloves

- 2 whole Cinnamon Sticks

- 1 whole Nutmeg

- 2 tbsp Honey


  1. Slice orange. Half for the pot, half for garnish

  2. Add brandy, half the orange, and spices into a pot over medium heat.

  3. Add two tablespoons of honey once the mixture has warmed. DO NOT LET IT BOIL.

  4. Once the honey has dissolved, add a bottle of red wine.

  5. Heat until it steams. Do not let it boil.

  6. Serve with an orange wedge garnish and a stick of cinnamon.
